The Wave. . . of American Flavors is located off the lobby of the Contemporary Resort and is part of the Disney Dining plan. The focus seems to be on locally grown produce and other organic foods in an atmosphere of contemporary elegance. The ambience is fine but definitely not extremely elegant or unique like many other Disney eateries around the property.
The breakfast menu consists of both a buffet option as well as regular menu items. During our visit, we ate breakfast off the normal menu. I enjoyed the French toast and bacon and my wife enjoyed scrambled eggs and bacon.
We love the Contemporary resort, having experienced it first hand on one of our visits, however, The Wave is not on the top of our family’s list of favorite restaurants. To make it clear, it is not bad, it is not dirty, and the service was fine. In our opinion, it’s just ok, and for the money you are paying, ok is not ok.
