- Go to Disney World during the off-season, like the fall. The theme park tickets now are lower during the off-season and resort prices are a bit lower as well.
- If you can get a Chase Disney credit card, you can collect Disney “dollars” to be used for food or give to the kids for their spending money.
- In the fall, Disney will often offer free dining plans, normal during portions of September and October.
- One adult meal can often be split between two children and is normally less expensive than ordering two kids meals.
- Bring breakfast food to eat in the hotel room before you leave for the day. Typically you are in a hurry anyway so it saves you some time as well!
- If you trade Disney pins, shop “lots of 10 or 25” pins on eBay. Many people are selling the ones they do not want at considerable discounts. Most are bad but you’ll trade them anyway!
- Get on Disney’s email list for special discount codes and other promotions. We just received (and used) discounted room offer at the Caribbean Beach Resort for $129/night!
- Buy ponchos at the dollar store – they are relatively expensive if you buy them at the park.
- Bring water bottles to put in the fridge in the hotels. Most rooms are a long way from any dining options and they will save you a lot of dollars.
- It could be less expensive to stay at a Disney resort, when you take into consideration of the cost of a rental car and parking at the parks. In addition, Disney resort guests get additional time at the parks with their early entry or late stay options on some nights, convenient usage of the Magic Bands, and all the transportation options to get around the property.
- Don’t overlook the Value Resorts – All-Star Sports, All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and Pop Century – you are still immersed in Disney magic, great pools, Disney transportation, arcade, and counter-service dining options including pizza delivery.
